Training

Ocean Explorers host a number of BSAC Instructors who can offer a range of BSAC Skill Development Courses (SDC's) to help extend your existing diving qualifications. These courses also directly support our exploration activities.

We offer Boat Handling, Buoyancy & Trim, Accelerated Decompression Procedures, Nitrox, Twinset, and many other BSAC qualifications.

Whilst we do not offer beginner courses, we do deliver advanced elements of open water training for qualified divers working towards BSAC Sports and Dive Leader qualifications, or, for divers crossing over from other agencies such as PADI and SAA.

Beginners

If you are new to diving and would like to learn how to scuba dive, then Barnsley BSAC Divers or Dearne Valley Divers will be able to help you. Both clubs meet weekly and have pool facilities and equipment hire to support beginners.
